Everyday, we find ourselves saying the phrase, “Thank you.” When someone opens the door for us, when we’re blessed after a sneeze, when someone does a favor for us, even when leaving a store we say it, but why exactly do we say it? What’s its purpose? Why does it matter? Take a second to sit down and tell us why you think it is important to give thanks.

There is so much that happens in our lives, so taking the time to look into our lives and say thanks gives us the opportunity to be grateful for what we have! When we get around to doing this, we’ll realize that we have more than we even thought, so let us give thanks to God for all we have!!
I think It is Important to give thanks because it shows our appreciation for the things people do for us!
Sometimes, saying ”thank you” can feel insincere and seem as if you are “going through the motions“ whenever it is said, because of how commonly it is used throughout daily living. Often times, the true value of the phrase “thank you” is overlooked, again because of how commonly it is put into use. Being able to truly appreciate and understand the value of gratitude, specifically during acts of kindness and whatnot, both as the doer and receiver can take you a long way in living life as a Christian, as it is a continuously prominent ideology within the Christian faith. For that reason, is why I believe saying thank you is important.
I think giving thanks is important, because it is a commandment. You ever heard the saying "give honor to whom honor is due"? I think it's the same for giving thanks ... "give thanks to whom thanks is due", because they have earned it and deserve it. In cases as giving thanks to God, I think it helps with humility, because often times we give thanks to God because He has done something we could never do. So giving thanks is acknowledging His part, and that you didn't do it by yourself.
I think it is important to give thanks because sometimes a little thanks can go a long way. You never know how someon’s day may be going or what a person may be going through but when you thank someone, you let them know that their presence is appreciated. That they are appreciated and their efforts are enough. It may be a small, simple phrase but it carries the weight of a thousand.
I say thank you to show my gratitude . Showing gratitude goes along way. It allows people to know that their efforts haven’t been in vain and that they have been truly appreciated. These two words can turn someone’s sad day into a better one.
Usually when I say “thank you” I mean it. Those 2 words can make someone feel appreciated and it also shows that you are grateful for something or someone. I say it when someone holds the door open for me because I’m grateful that they considered me enough to hold the door. I also say it because I want them to know how I feel, even if I don’t know them!
Giving thanks is important because it helps people to know they are appreciated. Saying thank you is acknowledging the effort they put in. Sometimes people do not feel appreciated and that is a great way to help them understand that their actions mean a lot more than they know.
