Peace of God
The peace and serenity of God, described by the Bible as something that “transcends all understanding,” is the harmony and calmness of body, mind and spirit that ultimately supersedes earthly circumstances, as do all other aspects of God.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phillipians 4:7)
The peace of God being something that is completely unfathomable only adds on to the pure wondrous and mysterious nature of God.
Have you noticed how nearly all of the books of Paul start with the phrase “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”? The Peace of God can be further referred to as a state of tranquility intertwined with a combination of appreciation and faith when we submit to and obey the Ten Commandments. In order to get to this standpoint, a mixture of humility and courage to experience God’s peace, seeking beyond the mere abilities of our own understanding, is required. The nearer we can move to Him, the more of His peace we can experience.
