Presence of God

Hey guys, welcome back to another blog! Today we will be talking about the Presence of God. Firstly, what is the presence of God? It is the feeling that God is with you, no matter where you are. And, this is not a feeling that we can run away from. Psalms 139:7-12 tells us this too. The verses say, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” In these verses, King David says that the Spirit of the Lord follows him wherever he goes. Whether it’s heaven or hell, east or west, God will always be with him. This shows us that God will always be with us, no matter where we are or what we are facing, which brings me into my next point. Why is the presence of God so important? It’s important because it brings meaning into our lives. It can bring breakthroughs so large that you would think that they are beyond our human imagination. Take the story of Simon’s boat, from Luke 5:1-11. two fisherman’s boats were on the shore and the fisherman were out washing their bets. Jesus gets in one boat(Simon’s), and tells him to take the boat out to deep waters and drop the net in. Simon did as he was told, although he didn't expect anything to happen because they couldn’t catch anything previously. But to his surprise, when he dropped the net and brought it back up, he had a huge amount of fish, to the point where his net could almost break. This is the power of the presence of God. Simply because Jesus was with him, Simon caught an unimaginable amount of fish. Now think of how this could work in your life. By accepting the presence of God, so many more doors and possibilities open in our lives, and the things we can do become endless. Now that you know this, seek the presence of God in your life, not only will God be there for you in every situation, but His presence will also open new doors for you.
