Saved By His Resurrected Grace

The tomb is empty. Our sins have been forgiven. Victory is won, for He has risen. My brothers and sisters, on this day of Easter, you and I were saved by grace. We were saved by the precious blood of Jesus, our Savior, our way to Heaven, the Son of God.

Before Jesus was born into this world, every person was corrupt and covered in sin. God knew that in order to save the people He loves the most, He would have to make the biggest sacrifice. The Bible states that sinners are alienated from God by wicked works, yet God has provided reconciliation through Christ’s death. (Colossians 1:21-22) Since we were all born with a sinful nature, there was already a barrier between us and God. But the problem of sin has been canceled through redemption and forgiveness. Jesus was the only man who could forgive our sins. Jesus was born through the conception of the Holy Spirit. Since He never sinned, He was able to be the perfect sacrifice, live the perfect life for us, and transfer His perfections to us. It is because of Jesus that we are saved by grace. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, Jesus said “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." His grace is the reason why you are alive today. His grace is the reason why you have not faced the wrath of God because of all your sins. His grace is the reason why we are able to be forgiven and given chance after chance, even though we do not deserve it.

He sacrificed His body to be used, beaten and crucified, and He shed His blood to cleanse us. This is the reason we have communion. In Matthew 26:26-28, Jesus encourages His disciples to take bread and wine to represent His body and blood. So whenever someone “eats'' the body of Christ and “drinks” His blood, the covenant between us and God will be renewed. Communion is a common union. The purpose of communion is to have common union with the Heavenly Father. But it is crucial that before you take communion, you must confess your sins, repent, and have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If you haven’t received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and you want to give your life to Him, say this prayer boldly:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my will and my life to you right now. I ask that you forgive my sins and that You give me a new life. I believe with my heart and soul that You sacrificed Your life to save me. I believe that You rose on the third day just as You promised, and that You will come again. I ask that You will be my Lord and personal Savior. Help me live a life like You and accomplish the will of God. Help me to walk in the righteous path using the blueprint You have for my life. I receive your free gift of salvation and grace in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

If you prayed this prayer, welcome to a new life. Heaven is rejoicing, the angels are singing, and God welcomes you with open arms. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us for any help or questions. Be blessed and have a gracious Easter.
